Features to know about

Stay Level with Big Loads: 7,500-lb Load-Leveling Capacity

Heavy trailers or bed loads can make the rear sag and the front rise, throwing off steering and braking. The Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs add up to 7,500 lbs of load-leveling capacity to keep your truck level under serious weight. By sharing the load with your factory suspension, they reduce strain on leaf springs, even out tire wear, and keep your headlight aim steady for safer handling when hauling or towing.

Dial In Your Ride: Adjustable from 5 psi to 150 psi

Not every haul is maxed out. With air pressure adjustable from 5 psi to 150 psi, these springs let you tune support to match your load. Add air when you’re towing a heavy trailer, or drop pressure for a smoother unloaded ride. Each side can be inflated individually with manual valves to balance off-center loads and maintain even handling.

Built Tough for Real Work: Four-Layer Reinforced Rubber and Metal End Plates

The RED Label design steps up durability with four layers of reinforced rubber and corrosion-resistant metal end plates. A braided wire girdle forms the double-convoluted shape that boosts burst pressure and increases load support. The rolled crimp seal locks each bag securely, preventing leaks even under high pressure so you can count on consistent performance through every haul.

No-Drill Install That Fits Right: Vehicle-Specific Brackets Included

Each kit comes with brackets, air springs, hardware, air line, and separate valves for manual inflation. The mounting hardware bolts directly to your axle and frame using existing points—no drilling required—so installation goes smoothly for a clean, secure fit. Add a Firestone compressor or gauge system (sold separately) if you want in-cab control later on.

Smooths Out the Drive: Reduces Bottoming and Absorbs Road Shock

Loaded or unloaded, these air springs help absorb bumps between the axle and frame to prevent bottoming out. They smooth out rough roads and reduce body roll for better stability when cornering or hitting uneven pavement. Every trip feels steadier, even with heavy gear or a trailer behind you.

7,500-lb Capacity. Heavy duty air springs support rear suspension for safety and stability when hauling your heaviest loads. Springs reduce strain on your rear axle, keep your vehicle level, and adjust to load size for a consistently smooth ride.

Fairly easy install on a 2016 F250 Super Duty. Use them to level out with a Sundowner 8010 3 horse slant, even loaded with the horses and all the camping gear ride is smooth and very stable. Great suspension system.

by:

Everything went together fairly well once I realize not to raise the truck off the ground. When my fifth wheel was installed brackets were added to the frame so I work around those. However everything fits and is working well

by:

I haul a 37' Fifth Wheel and 24' equipment trailer with my F-250. The Red Label air bags have made traveling through the mountains a breeze. Handling was greatly improved. I highly recommend them for any type of towing.

by:

Had this system installed on a 2014 F-350. Huge improvement when pulling 5th wheel trailer. Truck no longer hits helper springs when hitting those 2-3 inch highway joints at speed. I run it it at about 60 psi.

by:

Added these to my F-350 dually for towing my 43ft fifth wheel. The air bags made the ride much smoother as well as leveling the truck and trailer

by:

Great kit. Easy to do in the driveway. Had to modify the passenger side just a bit as I was installing a b&w gooseneck hitch at the same time and a couple components didn’t work well together.

by:

Very poorly packaged. All pieces have scuffs and scratches from shipping. Looks like it was dumped into the box from a 5 gallon bucket

by:

I could not be happier. Great price, fast shipping and wonderful support. Thank you eTrailer1

A year later I am very happy with them. Works excellent!!

by:

Once installed this system works wonderfully! While we ordered the one specific for our Ford F250 so it would bolt right up the kit is not made for use on an F250 with the B&W gooseneck mounting plate under the bed. Additional bracketing had to be fabricated to complete the installation

by:

Easy to install. Did exactly what I needed. I tow a 35 ft toy hauler TT. Very tongue heavy especially with no toy. These bags made it easy to keep my F350 level for a much better drive.

Zero issues with these bags. Work perfectly.

by:

This system works great on our F-350 single rear wheel truck. We have a gooseneck trailer that weighs about 15,000 lbs. Without these airbags the truck really sits low. The airbag system levels out the truck, makes it brake and ride safer.

by:

It's not hard to install if you have mechanical abilities. I don't like to drill in the plastic on the interior, so I didn't want a switch or gauge hanging off the dash so the Bluetooth feature is great. I purchased some extra airline and mounted the compressor and other various parts inside my toolbox in the bed. I've done that with previous pickups I've owned. It's a little more work and materials, but I think it keeps everything cleaner and I don't have to worry about snow and dirt building up on the compressor.

by:

So far not impressed.
Installation is
fairly difficult, no cutting, but lots of forcing things into position. Driver side airbag does not sit vertical, the bottom of the bag is slightly inboard relative to the top of the airbag. This misalignment caused me to cross thread the screw in the bottom of the airbag, now I have to replace it.
Plan on a full 8 hour install, not 1.5 like the instruction say.

The kit will fit tight and could be even tighter if any load is on the vehicle. There will also be a difference if the vehicle is on the ground, on a two post lift or a four post lift. The air springs may not be perfectly vertical and can be up to an inch per convolute off 2 inches total on a double convoluted air spring with no problems. Also, the rear end will move around a little while driving. If the blind nut is cross threaded, then the air spring will need replaced. This is not something that is covered under warranty. However, I will send you some additional information via email. If you can respond with pictures I am wanting to see what else we can do for you.

by:

Been using them for a year now, softens the ride with no trailer and improves the ride and keeps vehicle level with a trailer. I'm very happy with etrailer and the firestone airbags. F350 SRW

Still working great after 2 years now

by:

Installation was relativly straight forward. Cutting the air lines straight was hard without a special tube cutter. Recently air leaks have been an ongoing problem. In the last month the pressure has gone to zero every night and the pump doesn't turn on until I open the app. Twice this month I had to unplug the pump and plug it back in to get it respond to the app. I wouldn't recommend.

It can be tough to cut the airlines without a line cutter like part # AL10530. Since the air bags appear to be leaking, the easiest way to find the leak is to mix a spray bottle with soap and water, then spray the soapy water mix on all of the air bag components with the air bags filled up. If you see any bubbles that is a leak, and you will need replace or fix what is leaking. If it is the air line, cutting it with a line cutter and reattaching may work best. If it seems to be a threaded connection, then tighten the swivel fitting another half inch turn. If it still leaks, deflate the air spring, remove the fitting, and re-coat the threads with thread sealant. Reinstall by hand tightening as much as possible and then use a wrench for an additional two turns. With regard to the app, the suggestion that I have is to delete and reinstall the app to see if that helps with the connection.

@JennyN Yes, I am very familiar with spraying soapy water on the fittings. If I needed the cutter to properly install the system I don't understand why it wasn't included in the kit. Reinstalling the app didn't help at all.

@Curtis I reached out to Firestone and they had a few more suggestions as well as questions. The app should indicate a leak for you. Are there any faults showing in the app? Would you be able to send a screen short showing the errors and a screen shot showing the system information? You would want to go to Settings in upper left corner >> then go to About. They want to see the operating system, app version, and firmware version. I found out that uninstalling he app by itself does not do much since the original connection will still be stored in the ECU (my apologies). You would want to perform a hard reset instead. A hard reset only works if you disconnect power and uninstall the app at the same time; otherwise it will default back to the previous connection. 1. Disconnect power to the ECU (pull fuse, disconnect ECU connector or disconnect the battery) 2. Uninstall the app 3. Wait 30 seconds 4. Reconnect power to the ECU 5. Reinstall the app The default should take Pass Code 1,2,3,4 which can be changed later. (or left the same – you will only need to enter the code one time) You may see it go to an OTA screen which means system is pushing through a firmware update. Also, the air compressor should not turn on until the app "wakes up." That is normal for it.

Works great. Fit my F250 perfectly and did not interfere with the 5th wheel puck system(etrailer). I’m not a mechanic but was able to do it myself by jacking up the rear so the axle was hanging freely.
Adding the compressor may have added a better experience considering you can add or subtract air from the system without stopping. I’ll be adding that system before hitting the road again.

Works great. Thought of installing an onboard compressor but decided it wasn’t necessary because the system doesn’t loose air. I think it was a good investment.

by:

etrailer is always very easy to deal with. Excellant info, videos, support, usually the best prices you will find, and extremely fast shipping.

by:

Best heavy duty kit out there. Installed quite a few.

by:

Installation took about 2.5 hours with just me installing it. Install went smooth and all the parts and hardware were correct. Driver side took longer than the passenger side. Also located the air fill valves inside the gas fill lid for easy access. Have not put a load on the truck yet but should not be an issue. The last 2 photos is where I installed the air fill valves.

by:

Installed on a 2015 F350 Super Duty with Reese universal bed rail kit previously mounted. Straight forward install with includeded instructions. No additional drill or modification except neeeding to reroute 1 wiring harness to maintain proper clearance around left bag. The left upper bracket shims didn't directly line up. There is a slight overhang of the bracket along the frame rail due to this, but enough surface area covered. Left side used (1) 1/2" and (1) 1/4" shims. Right side bracket used (2) 1/2" shims. Torque specs are labeled on top of air bag.

by:

So far it’s working well. Time will tell if the system stays airtight in freezing and lower temperatures.
Installation instructions were adequate, if you have a maintenance background. Hardware in good, more than enough air tubing. The combination of Mounting brackets allowed mounting pretty where ever you desired. ECM connection to IPhone was super easy.
Haven’t gotten to tow the 5th yet. So, nothing to report on the handling change there.

i find etrailer to be a really good business with both excellent quality if products and excpetional customer service. I can't tell you how far that last one goes with me. by:

I ordered these Firestone airbags to replace an old set of Firestone airbags that I have been running for 350,000 miles. I tow heavy loads every day. These are the best.

by:

I recently purchased a new fifth wheel. A little heavier than my old one and my truck was sagging a little bit. Install the air right suspension, and now my truck is level when I’m towing my camper.

by:

This set was a replacement for the ones on my F350 that were already on the truck. Everything went back together with ease once the old bracket were removed. With one air compressor air is is delivered to the air-ride system one the truck is started. I pill a fifth-wheel with a tongue weight of around 3600 pounds. With this system I'm able to level out the truck.

The ride-rite air bags are working great. I run 15lbs pressure in them all the time due to my fifth wheel attachment in the bed. I run 60 to 70 psi pulling my fifth wheel with a tongue weight of 3650 which is not a problem for the air bags.
